Hello eco-friendly people, my name is Metin and I am writing a blog first time but I will explain my thinking and try to explain about ecological carbon footprint. First example is transportation. Transportation is one of the areas where fossil fuel consumption directly causes carbon emissions. We can make a surprising contribution to nature by renewing our transportation habits. For example, instead of using a car or public transport, I reached home once a week on foot after school. We can reduce our carbon footprint in very simple ways, such as turning off unused appliances in the home, not using electricity unless necessary, and keeping electric water heaters off when not in use. This week I sat down without turning on the lights unless I needed to, and I took the phone charger and laptop charger out after the battery was full.

I also reduced my carbon footprint by eating as much organic and unpackaged food as possible. I didn’t pollute nature by throwing plastic bottles and paper waste into recycling bins instead of throwing them away. I’ve consumed as much food as I need, in moderation. The energy and fuel consumed in the process of reaching the end consumer through long distances increases the carbon footprint of the food, and since I know this, I preferred more local foods.
